This Seafood Pasta Salad will make a great addition to your next outdoor BBQ!
1 pound 50 count shrimp
3/4 pound surimi crab
1 pound shell pasta
2 cups mayonaise
1 tablespoon lobster base
1/3 cup cooking sherry
1 cup green peas
salt & pepper
Bring a large pot of water to a bowl and add the shrimp and cook until they turn bright pink.
Remove the shrimp and place in a large mixing bowl.
Add the surimi, breaking it into small pieces.
Cook the pasta in the same water as the shrimp, this will impart extra flavor to the pasta.
You may also add some of the lobster base to the water as well for added flavor.
Drain the pasta and add it to the bowl with the seafood.
In a smaller bowl, dissolve the lobster base in the 1/3 cup of cooking sherry.
Add the mayonaise and stir to blend.
Add this mixture to the hot pasta, the dressing will absorb in to the pasta as it cools.
Add the peas and season with the Food Guru Steak Spice or salt and pepper to taste.
Pour onto a serving platter and garnish with fresh herbs and parmesan cheese.
* I use surimi crab because it is inexpensive, tastes good and works good in this salad,
you may use any crab you like.
