Grilled Portobella Mushrooms


Portobella Mushrooms
Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper


Start by cutting off most of the stem
Remove the black fins, using a spoon, scrape the fins into a paper towel, discard
Leave the mushroom caps intact

Mushrooms grow in dirt and fertilizer, wash them inside and out, dry with a paper towel.

To Grill:
Rub mushrooms with olive oil and season it with salt and pepper
Place in a hot part of the grill… cap down cook 3 minutes
flip mushrooms and cook on the second side
Cook the mushrooms until some of the water cooks out and they wilt 

Grilled Portobella mushrooms are very meaty tasting
Slice them to serve with steaks …
They’re also perfect on pizza or in pasta dishes
