Grilled Portobella Mushroom

Grilled Portobella Mushrooms have a Meaty Taste


Portobello Mushrooms
Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper


Start by cutting off most of the stem
The remove these black fins, the best tool for the job is a spoon
Scrape off the fins into a paper towel, discard… leaving the mushroom cap intact
Mushrooms grow in dirt and fertilizer, so be sure to wash them inside and out
Dry with a paper towel

To Grill:
Rub the mushroom with olive oil and season it with salt and pepper
place in a hot part of the grill… cap down cook 3 minutes
flip it over and cook on the second side

Cook the mushrooms until some of the water cooks out and they wilt like this
Grilled Portobella mushrooms are very meaty tasting
Slice them to serve with steaks … They’re also perfect on pizza or in pasta dishes
