The Role of the Bus Boy

The busboy or busser as it is called these days is a dining room entry level position. The busser position should be the proving ground for waiter or server candidates. The dining room has lots of server turnover and the busser position is a great place to warehouse the next server, until shifts open up.  If the new server candidate can't hustle and multi task as a busser, they will NEVER cut it as a server. Cut your losses quickly and get another server candidate started immediately. Having a busser that will never become a server is a waste of time and money.
