Chocolate Ganache

Fabulous and simple chocolate sauce with a fancy name - Ganache

Process

Place bittersweet chocolate in a bowl.

Bring heavy whipping cream to a boil in a sauce pan.
Pour cream over chocolate
stir the cream into the chocolate until it becomes smooth.

That's it, Chocolate Ganache.
It's the perfect sauce to dunk all sorts of foods into strawberries, pineapple, bananas,
cookies, pound cake, and biscotti.

If you want to make the Ganache really sing, add some Booze!
Try Kahlua, Godiva Chocolate Liqueur, Bailey's or Starbucks Coffee Liqueur.

Food Guru TIP:
As the cream starts to boil it will rise. In fact, it will rise right up out of the pan and all over the stove.
Use a large sauce pan and keep a close eye on the cream. Once the cream boils, remove it immediately from the heat and pour it over the chocolate.

Store leftover ganache in the fridge, it will become thick like fudge.
*reheat slowly in the microwave and pour over ice cream or
*use as filling for chocolate truffles
