The Food Guru spends his days working on his restaurant Graze in Iowa City, Iowa.
Graze features the "Grazing" style of dining - which involves mixing, matching and lots of sharing.
The Food Guru coined the term "Grazing" in 1991, today this style of dining has become very popular.
The bar at Graze run like a kitchen, FG and his "bar Chef's" are working to re-imagine martinis, classic cocktails and other libations.
The goal is to franchise Graze around the country.

Peter lives in Iowa City with his wife Kim and their little Dachschund "Toots". Peter has two sons. Tyler who lives in Des Moines. Evan is currently is currently attending The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. 

Giving Back:
In the spring of 2000, Peter founded the Chicken Lip Foundation, a non-profit organization that creates unique fund raising opportunities and events to help local charities help themselves. The main fundraiser is the annual "Community Basket, a totally unique fund raising concept, check it www.communitybasket.com Since it's creation, "The Chicken Lip Foundation" has raised over 1,000,000 to support local non-profit organizations.

History:
Chef Harman was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1959, but grew up in Vermont where he was always being kicked out of the fridge by his mom. As a kid, Peter’s passion was baseball his goal in life was to be the catcher for the New York Yankees and become a famous baseball player and open a restaurant, with his name on it. The Yankee part was not to be; Peter left baseball to pursue his real passion... food.
